The Strategic Futures Laboratory has grown from the TextureLab, a group looking at the human perception, capture, analysis, retrieval, and visualisation of 3D surface texture. We now have a new remit to use our unique cross-disciplinary skills to investigate not only texture, but also human perception of data, visualisations, and user experience, while always ensuring users are included at the core of everything we do.

Here is an example of just some of the questions we are currently working on: How can we best present complex, highly dimensional data to an average user? How can we use computer tools and visualisation to improve the efficiency of meetings?
