The data used to create this map was downloaded from Gateway To Research. It shows all funding which was categorised under the 'Scotland' region, which consisted of 9032 entries at time of access on the 11th June 2018.
In order to ensure a good result, we removed any grant with less than 15 words, after the removal of stop words, along with any grant containing placeholder text. These are shown in the 'Unclassified' hex and reasons for removal can be seen in the downloadable CSV file.
